John is Brandon’s Best Man. They first met way back in Boy Scouts. Through high school, visiting each other in university, John’s cottage, living in Philadelphia and onwards, they have never stopped the crazy antics. There are pictures to prove it; although, they will NOT be seen at the wedding! |

Davy and Brandon first met when visiting John at Waterloo University. However, through their four year west coast connection, their friendship has moved into a zone of its own. Trips to Seattle, scotch festivals, snowboarding and camping – these guys never seem to need sleep. Good for them Dave moved from Seattle to Vancouver in 2003. |

Jay Van Dyk Chelsea, QC
Jay and Brandon also met at Waterloo University. After graduation they rented an apartment together in Toronto. The stories from that place are legendary. Unfortunately, Jay set out to Amsterdam – good thing for Laura as a couple of months later it freed Brandon up to move to Vancouver.

Jeff Stickley Toronto, ON
Jeff and Brandon have known each other since high school. They lived just blocks apart. That fun loving boy is always up for a good time with friends. Apparently, Brandon needs to make sure that Jeff does not get a chance to speak at the wedding, as his stories may have Brandon crawling under the table. |

Shane Shilson Unionville, ON
Shane is Brandon’s older brother. These close brothers have played hockey together, worked summer jobs together and have many unforgettable family memories (as their parents have it all documented on video!). Brandon and Laura had a wonderful time welcoming Shane and his fiancé Pearl to Vancouver last summer. They look forward to many more memorable times in the years to come. |

Jason Hermer Kingston, ON
Jason is Laura’s older brother. In a bizarre coincidence, Brandon and Jason were born on the exact same day and year, April 5, 1974 (Good work Moms). This must be why they share their love of dogs, sci-fi movies and video games. Brandon and Laura also enjoy visiting Jason and Heidi in Ontario and are looking forward to having them out to Vancouver real soon.
