Laura's Old Time Tea Party was a complete success on June 11, 2005!
Laura and 8 of her wonderful friends travelled back in time at Burnaby Villiage Museum & Carousel. This site has heritage buildings from all over BC and a hand carved wooden carousel built in 1912.
We toured the sites and learned all about what is was like being a new bride in the 1920s (glad we no longer scrub the floor with a 25 pound brick scrub mop). My biggest surprise was in the post office, where I was presented with cards and packages from many friends and family back East who were celebrating in spirit!
We then had a private outdoor tea party with games and food and opening presents. We finished our day with a ride on the famous million dollar carousel.
Thank you to everyone who made my day special!
